Merchandise items include commemorative 20th Anniversary polo shirts, t-shirts, caps, key rings and pins.

The Northern Territory Government Department of Planning and Infrastructure, Motor Vehicle Registry produce distinctive number plates (licence plates) for solar and experimental vehicles which qualify for the event.

As the minimum production run exceeds the requirements, surplus plates have been made available for sale to participants as souvenirs of the event.

In order that these items are not taken by dealers the Motor Vehicle Registry reserves the right to limit or restrict sales deemed to be for commercial purposes. Therefore these items are not available online.

A limited number of current (2007) and some past event plates will be offered for sale during pre-event activities in the Foskey Pavilion, Darwin on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 October 2007 and, following the event, from the NT Motor Vehicle Registry, Goyder Road, Parap until the end of November 2007.
